Ajilvsga - Archived Bones

Edition of twenty copies released on Brad Rose's Dial Square Tapes (a Digitalis Recordings sublabel for releasing personal materials), this is an Ajilvsga recording made two years prior to its release date in 2009 as an edition of twenty cassettes. More stripped back than many Ajilvsga releases, but the craftsmanship is to the same standard and it manages to scratch the same itch.

Ajilvsga - From the Muddy Banks of the Arkansas

The only release on the presumably artist-owned Near Passerine Devotionals label (although the label appears to be based in Canada), this is the transcendent, droning psych we expect from Ajilvsga with the addition of vocals from Brad Rose's (one half of this project) wife on the B side. Released as anedition of three hundred copies in 2009.

Ajilvsga - Burnt Offering

Released on Brad Rose's (one half of this duo) own imprint Dial Square Tapes, a sublabel of his Digital Recordings label used to release music from himself and personal friends. Typifies Ajilvsga's immense, reverb drench guitar sound, sometimes accompanied by bells and other imprint. Successfully bridges the organic psych/drone/noise gap. Released as an edition of twenty-six cassettes in 2009.

Ajilvsga - The White Feathered Stem

Released on Australian experimental label Sound & Fury as an edition of seventy-five CDrs in 2009. Thick, psychedelic drone/noise (possibly guitar based) and typical of Brad Rose and Nathan Young's highly pleasing and unique style. The title may tie in with other 'white' symbolic motifs used as album titles such as 'Last of the White Buffalo', 'White Path/Red Path', 'White Sky Monster' and 'White Crow'.

Black Leather Jesus / Blue Sabbath Black Cheer

Split on Italian noise label Urashima by Richard Ramirez under his Black Leather Jesus moniker and US-based doom influenced noise outfit Blue Sabbath Black Cheer. Made up of a 'split' side featuring a track from each artist, followed by a collaborative 'alliance' side. Ramirez's track is a more intense harsh noise assault whereas Blue Sabbath's offering displays more of the atmosphere and dark ambient trappings of their style: the resulting collaborative effort is a reflective combination of these stylistic elements. An edition of ninety-nine LPs released in 2014.

Blue Sabbath Black Cheer / Dried Up Corpse

Split between doom influenced USA-based noise/dark ambient outfit Blue Sabbath Black Cheer and American Stan Reed's moniker Dried Up Corpse. Both tracks are slow, foreboding noise heavy with atmosphere. Released in 2009 as a fifty copy cassette on mid-2000s American label What We Do is Secret, then reissued the same year on Blue Sabbath Black Cheer's own Gnarled Forest records as an edition of a further three hundred 10" vinyls.
